Decedent storage for Yuba City, Marysville and the Yuba-Sutter area

For a funeral home in Yuba City or Marysville, a transfer to Live Oak is a short drive on Highway 99. Your staff can deliver a decedent and return in less than an hour. That makes outside storage practical for a single overflow case, not only for large backlogs.

Use our storage when your cooler is full, when a family waits for relatives to travel, or when a case waits for a permit or a coroner release. You book by the day, by the week or for a longer period.

In Sutter County and in Yuba County, the sheriff is also the coroner. Each office has its own case numbers, seals and release steps. We keep the agency's case number and seals in our receipt record, and we release a decedent only on that office's authorization.

Small county facilities can fill fast during a multi-fatality crash on Highway 99 or Highway 70, or during a flood or fire. Agencies can reserve surge capacity with us before an event, so the contact steps and records are set in advance.

Hospital morgues in the Yuba-Sutter area are small. A hold that lasts weeks, for example while staff search for next of kin, takes space that the hospital needs for new cases. We take these extended holds and record each receipt and release, so your staff know who has custody.
